I was fortunate enough to film inside the Urban Fire Simulator complex in Brazil, which happens to be the largest in the country. It was an incredible experience for me to be inside one of the simulations with real fire, while wearing all of the necessary protective gear. Seeing firsthand how firefighters train to save lives in urban fire situations was truly inspiring.
I produced an advertising piece for the Fireforces, which they could use to promote the training center and encourage colleagues from across the country to participate in a real fire simulation experience. It was an honor to be a part of this project, and I hope that it helps to spread awareness of the incredible work that firefighters do every day.
One challenge I faced was filming inside the container with flames. To solve this issue, I received some valuable advice from one of the firefighters. They suggested that I submerge my go-pro inside a jar of water, which would protect it from the infrared radiation that could potentially damage the equipment.
Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and I was grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it. I’m thrilled to have produced the content that I did, and I hope it helps to showcase the amazing work of Brazilian firefighters.
