I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to work on the video “Climate Resilience starts with Water – Applied water resources management in the Lake Chad Basin.” This was a project that I worked on alongside Linda Engel, in collaboration with the German GIZ, and it was an incredibly rewarding experience.
Our goal with the video was to showcase the water resilience initiatives taken by the Lake Chad Basin Commission, and to highlight the positive results that these initiatives have had on food production and wealth for the local inhabitants. We wanted to create a compelling narrative that would both educate and inspire viewers, and I think we accomplished that goal.
One of the biggest challenges of this project was structuring the video based on the large database of materials provided by GIZ. We had a lot of data and information to work with, and it was important to find a way to present it in a clear and concise manner. Working closely with Linda, I was able to develop a narrative that effectively conveyed the key messages of the video while also being visually engaging and interesting to watch.
I’m incredibly proud of the work that we accomplished on this project, and I’m thrilled that it has been published on the official GIZ channels. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved, and I hope that the video will help to raise awareness about the important work being done to promote water resilience in the Lake Chad Basin.
